Villa Sea Paradise Curacao

Relaxing

Would not stay anywhere else again. perfect property.
loved it. relaxing, peaceful, quiet neighborhood.
easy to walk to dinner, go for afternoon ice creams, read a book or get take restaurant shuttle bus (brazilian ūüôā )
mosquitoes were hiding under the bed. citronella candles are needed. Having these at house would be good.
ceiling fan was high in living room to feel breeze – a standing fan would be helpful. only ran the a/c when sleeping.
we went with 3 teenagers and they were not bored.

Owner’s Response: Hi Amy, Thanks for your review. We are glad you enjoy your vacation with your family at our villa. We are glad to see you again. Regards Luty

Beautiful Sunsets

This villa is situated right on the ocean with a fantastic view and within walking distance to Jan Theil beach and great restaurants. A spa and shopping make it an ideal location for someone who does not have a car or like to drive. Beautiful infiniti pool with a whirlpool spa that is not heated. Good chairs to sit by the pool and enjoy the sunsets.
The owner’s representative was responsive to inquires and any problems associated with the rental. It was clean and well maintened. The listing photos were accurate.
On the bad side be prepared to pay for additinal electricity and water use, as the allowance included in the lease is insufficient, especially with full occupancy ( 8 people). Security lighting electricity and landscape sprinkler and pool water are applied to your allowance.
I would recomend this property, but would try to negotiate with the owner for a bigger electric and water allowance.

Owner’s Response: Hello Margie, I am pleased that you took the time to write a review and that you and your family enjoyed the sunset at the home. The water and electricity issue is customary here in the resort and at the most vacation homes on Curacao. The cost from water and electricity on this island is high. Experience learns that by normal usage of electricity and water one should not worry about exceeding cost. Thank you Luty Jansen

Paradise both above and below water

We spent a week at Sea Villa Paradise and were pleasantly surprised every step of the way. Pictures do not do the property justice. The house is beautiful with a well appointed kitchen and perfect for the Caribbean life style. Both the property owner and local manager are very helpful making the rental arrangements easy to complete. There is a limit to the amount of electrical power and water included in the base rental rate however we came in well under these limits with 8 adults. We only used air conditioning at night but there is no need for it during the day. One of my greatest surprises was the fantastic diving from the dock, which is equipped with stairs adequate for use with full scuba gear. There is a combination of sand and corals starting at ~ 2 meters at the dock sloping to 10 meters about 50 meters from the dock where the wall drops off completely covered with almost every type of coral. The grocery store along with restaurants, dive shop and beach club are all a short walk away.
I want to go again…..

Paradise by the Sea

What can I say. This villa really is paradise. Me and my three friends came here for scuba diving trip but we spent most of our time at the villa and the great resort that was a two minute walk down the beach. Everyone associated with the operation of the villa is first class. Luty, the property manager arranged a driver (Anthony) for us (which was very helpful because it is easy to get lost driving in Curacao) and he greatly added to our experience by showing us around the best places and joining us for dinner one night. The Villa itself is spectacular. All of the doors and windows open up to let the gentle trade winds in and the views and sunsets are breathtaking. The location is perfect. We are already planning to return to Curacao and we will defintely stay here. Of all of the VRBO properties that we have stayed in, this is the best.

Simply Stunning

My family and I just spent a week in this house and found it to be perfect in every way. The pictures on this site, although beautiful, do not do the house justice. The layout of the home really accentuates its beautiful waterfront location, and I can honestly say that we spent more time in the outdoor living area than we did “inside.” Sitting by the infinity pool and enjoying a cool drink while watching and listening to the waves crash against the rocky shore became my favorite activity and made it very difficult to leave the house and go anywhere else on the island. Snorkeling right off the deck was also pretty amazing and the large variety of coral I saw just offshore eclipsed most of the other snorkeling spots I visited during my stay. I have visited Curacao many times and stayed in houses all over the island including Coral Estates, Jan Sofat, and Piscadera Bay. However, I must say that this was by far my favorite location. My kids loved being able to walk down to the bustling Jan Thiel beach, and we enjoyed several meals at the many beach restaurants nearby. Of course, this was also the most expensive area we had stayed in, but it was worth every penny. In short, I would recommend this house to anyone but feel compelled to warn you that, after spending a few days there, you will never ever want to leave. I can’t wait to go back!

A week in paradise!

Our stay at Villa Sea Paradise was outstanding. We had made arrangements for the local property manager to shop for us ahead of time which was money well spent. It was nice to have cold beverages upon arrival. The house and the view could not be more beautiful. The kitchen opens to the outdoor seating areas so you always have the beautiful view. The villa is appointed nicely. Nice glasses and cookware, comfortable outdoor and poolside seating with umbrellas for shade, as well as comfortable beds. There is a TV room in the front of the house with lots of videos, but we didn’t want to spend time inside. The wind was strong the week we were there and we didn’t get to access the water from the swimming platform until the last day. It’s a nice area to snorkel, lots of soft corals. You can also access the water via a ladder at the Papagayo resort and swim back to the villa (just remember to lower the ladder!). Other nearby areas to snorkel include Tugboat, Directors Bay, Caracas Bay. We had a delicious meal at Pop’s on Caracas Bay after snorkeling there. It took some time but it was well worth the wait. We also took advantage of being able to walk to the nearby restaurants and grocery store. Both the owner and local property manager were a pleasure to work with. They responded to all of our questions promptly. I would highly recommend this villa.

Colorado Yankee: This Place Rocks!

Traveled with our 3 kids 17-9 for spring break this year and had a great time. Home is a private oasis. Island itself is a bit ugly, however, we and our kids were perfectly happy in the pool and at the resort next door. Not many Americans and the grocery store can be a bit challenging. We rented a car and had many great adventures. Bring your own scuba gear for conscience off the back dock. Will be back next year.

Phenominal !!

Just returned yesterday 1/16/2016 and this is the first time I have ever written a review for anything. This villa and the location was amazing. All seven of us rated this the best overall place we have ever stayed. We have been traveling throughout the world for forty years. Irene, who was supposed to meet us at the villa, was amazing. We had a little problem finding the villa and she met us at Papagayo and showed us the way. Everything mentioned on the VRBO is accurate. The diving out front was outstanding. We dove with dolphins right out front and the reef was amazing. You do not need a car, but if you choose, you can rent one at the resort for a day of exploring. Dive or snorkel the Tugboat site and go to Klien Curacao. We went on the Mermaid and it was outstanding. The food at the resort was very good and the prices were what we are use to in the United States.Have fun, you will be more than satisfied! We all hope to go back next year.

Perfection is all I can say

The layout and ammenities are all you could ask for. 5 of 5 As beautiful as the pictures and videos on the website are, the home and views are even better in person. It is a spectacular home. With 7 adults, we had a great time hanging out by the pool, down on the dock, and walking over for drink at the resort. The drive from the airport can be a bit confusing, fortunately the property manager was able to meet us and guide us in. I would recommend taking a cab from the airport and renting a car next door from the resort to save yourself from the stress of the drive in an unknown place. It is cheaper too. We will definitely be back to this house. We were able to rent scuba gear from the resort and dive right out front. Amazing sights. We couldn’t be more pleased. We managed to stay within the allotted electricity allowance and water consumption by only running the AC at night and being disciplined with turning the lights on and off. The whole group showered daily, did dishes, and did plenty of laundry and managed to stay within the water usage. The grocery market is close, literally right outside the gate. Plenty of running trails and sights to see if you venture out. This is a great place that gives you the privacy of your own home and opportunity to mingle with others when you want at the resort.
